For centuries, the ancient shepherds of the Llanos de Cáceres area made cheeses in an artisanal way, creating the basis of what is now Pastovelia.

Present

Products and Objectives

The master cheesemakers continue to make products such as Torta del Casar, Pastoralia, and sheep and goat cheeses, following traditional recipes to obtain a unique product.

Shop and Museum

The cheese factory has a shop for public sale (open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and a Torta del Casar interpretation centre, the only one dedicated to the history of this artisan cheese in the region.
